Dr Brooks joined Eglwysbach as a partner in November 1991. He was senior partner for several years until he retired as a partner in April 2019, when he was 60. Since that time Dr Brooks has supported the Practice, working as a Locum GP.
He was a GP trainer for about 20 years; and worked in Neurology at University Hospital Wales on one afternoon every week for 20 years as a headache specialist. He has been an elected member of Bro Taf Local Medical Committee representing GPs and patients for 10 years.
He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London (FRCP) in 2014.
Dr Brooks says that he thoroughly enjoyed working at the practice and wants to thank patients and colleagues for their support over the years.
The Practice wishes Dr Brooks a long, happy, healthy retirement.
