Eye Problems

Opticians are highly trained professionals who specialise in care of the eyes and your vision.  They have access to specialist equipment and can liaise directly with the hospital eye services.

If you are concerned about your eyes; that you may have an urgent problem, or that your vision is deteriorating - these symptoms can be very serious, and should not be ignored.  Please either arrange to see a GP urgently, or alternatively make an appointment to see an accredited optician locally who are qualified to assess these problems, and in most cases can see you for no charge.

Often, GP's may refer patients to these providers for further assessment as opposed to sending patients to the hospital, as they have specialist equipment and significant experience in identifying causes for concern / managing eye conditions.
