The flu campaign starts next month in accordance with the Welsh Assembly Government guidelines. The injection, which protects patients against flu, is advised for everyone over the age of 65 and also for younger patients who have certain medical conditions e.g. Diabetes,Asthma,Heart problems etc. The injection is also available to those with chronic liver disease as well as those who are the main carer for elderly or disabled persons. This year we are also including two,three and four year olds. We are still encouraging patients to consider the pneumovax injection.Those who are eligible can also have a shingles vaccine.
