We wish to inform you about an important change to our opening hours at Ynysybwl Branch Surgery.
To be able to better manage our resources to serve you more efficiently, starting 01 July 2024, our branch surgery at Ynysybwl will no longer be open on Friday afternoons. Instead, we will open on Tuesday afternoons.
New Surgery Hours (from 01/07/2024)
Monday to Friday: 8am-1pm
Monday & Tuesday: 1.30pm-6pm
We have monitored the possible impact of this change and are confident that there should be no detrimental impact to the service we provide to our residents in Ynysybwl and the surrounding area, for example:-
Access – Ynysybwl Surgery will open every weekday morning 8am to 1pm and on Monday and Tuesday afternoons 1.30pm to 6pm. Access to Eglwysbach Surgery remains unchanged, with telephone lines open 8am-6.30pm Monday to Friday, and doors open until 6pm.
Routine home visits – Visits will continue to be provided, where clinically indicated, after morning surgeries, Monday to Friday, from all three of our sites.
Urgent access – The “on-call GP” will continue to work out of Eglwysbach Surgery. Requests will continue to be triaged by telephone, and a face-to-face appointment offered or a home visit arranged when clinically appropriate.
Urgent prescriptions – Eglwysbach Surgery remains open 8am-6pm weekdays should there be a need, for example, to collect an urgent prescription when a branch is closed.
